Andrew McClelland Roderick The body was found beside his automobile, which had been driven to the side of the road, near Mt. Pleasant, apparently because Mr. Roderick felt the attack coming on. Dr. Ira I. Brandfield, this city, who was summoned to the scene, found Mr. Roderick dead when he arrived and said the man apparently succumbed within a few minutes. Death was due to acute dilation of the heart. The deceased was a son of the late William McC and Clara Mercer Roderick. For a number of years he operated a fleet of trucks, collecting milk. Several years ago he became a partner in the Maryland Transportation Company, with which he was connected at the time of his death. About two years ago he purchased the farm of his parents, which he has since cultivated, together with his other activities. He was a member of the Grace Reformed church and the following fraternal organizations: Frederick Lodge No. 684, B.P.O. Elks; Frederick Lodge No. 371, L.O.O. M; Chippewa Tribe, No. 19, I.O.R.M. and Damascus Lodge Jr., O.U.A.M. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Viola Wolfe Roderick; five children, Elizabeth, Helen, Andrews M. Jr., Carol and Caroline Roderick, all at home; brothers and sisters: Harry Roderick, Urbana; Elmer Roderick, near New Market; Mrs. Sterling Spurrier, Libertytown; Mrs. James VanSant, Mt. Airy; Mrs. Samuel Young, Mrs. Ruth Stone, Frederick; and Raymond L. Roderick, Dickinson Seminary, Williamsport, Pa. Funeral services were held at the home; interment in Mt. Olivet Cemetery; M.R.
